An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client for a Technical Sales Executive. As a company they are a specialist manufacturer of specialist coatings and composites for advanced materials.
The role will involve working in a small team of technical specialists where you will identify and build B2B relationships with key industry players, understanding their problems and requirements. These are highly technical sales, requiring input by the whole team to succeed, therefore candidates must demonstrate excellent collaboration skills.
The environment is fast-paced with flexibility and versatility necessary to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. The postholder will promote the company’s range of products through specification, presentation and events, travelling within the UK and abroad.
The ideal candidate will have:
·2-3 years experience in technical sales is essential
·A moderate technical knowledge of and experience in the materials/composites industry. An engineering background would be advantageous but not essential.
·Ability to grasp technical data and applications quickly is essential.
·Excellent and proven organisational and administration skills in a sales setting
·Good written communication skills with a strong eye for detail
·Strong relational and interpersonal skills both outside and inside the company
·A self-starter with a high level of initiative and self-motivation
Previous experience within coatings, paints or composites would be beneficial but not essential.
