We have once again been retained as exclusive Consultants for a leading Cambridge based company.
They are seeking an exceptionally talented, ambitious and highly self-motivated Business Development Manager to accelerate the commercialisation of a series of IIoT products (sensors, access points, cloud services, analytics, etc.) for safety and performance critical assets primarily across rail, oil and gas industries.
Working alongside the Technical Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and quantifying business opportunities, engaging with clients, identifying potential collaboration partners for large bids, developing customer and grant funded proposals, providing market feedback to validate design decisions and influence the project road map, and closing sales.
The successful candidate will be based at their Cambridge offices and will regularly travel across their UK territory.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Ability to identify and engage with early technology adopters.
Ability to identify and quantify new business opportunities.
Grant writing (Innovate UK, Horizon 2020, etc.)
Experience in business development
Engineering background – Mechanical engineering/Electrical Engineering
Knowledge of Oil, Gas or Rail Industries
Experience pf loT/ lloT
Innovation and collaboration management
Salary will be between 45k – 65k depending on experience and salaries will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
